About the Course
In the context of the National Employment Skills Standard (NOSS), the program name is:
Early Childhood Care and Education (T982-001-3:2017) – SKM Level 3 AND Parenting and Early Childhood Development Education (T982-001-4:2018) – DKM Level 4. However, for the purpose of abbreviation, we name it as early childhood education only.
This Early Childhood Education course may change your future. It will allow you to experience a career that is always in demand. However, not everyone knows the benefits.
This course will equip you with contemporary parenting and early childhood skills, pedagogical competence, and intellectual and social skills.
Students will also be exposed to developmental aspects of the parenting curriculum and early education of PERMATA, which include :
physical development,
early development of mathematics & logical thinking,
early language development & literacy,
the development of legality, socio-emotional & spiritual,
the development of creativity & aesthetics,
the development of creative arts & the movement of music and
balanced nutrition skills
For children under 4
You will be evaluated based on your ability to view all components, knowledge evaluation (amali) and performance (amali).
Education Pathway
Upon completion of the parenting and early childhood education course that qualifies you for Level 3 or DKM Level 4 in this field, you can:
(SKM3) – Extend the course to a higher level of Malaysia's Diploma of Skills (Level 4) Parenting and Early Childhood Development Supervision or Academic Diploma in any institution recognized local and private higher education throughout Malaysia and abroad.
(DKM) – Extend your undergraduate degree at IPTA/IPTS.
If you are interested in becoming a vocational teacher / skills teacher, you further study into vocational teacher courses @ VTO.
